DefenseEvent Event Plugin — Rust Carbon

DEFENSE EVENT : OUTPOST

Cooperative Wave Defense · 5 Escalating Waves · 4 Difficulty Presets · Multi-Event

DefenseEvent is a cooperative wave-defense event plugin for Carbon servers. A pre-built outpost base is pasted at a validated map location, players enter the zone to trigger a countdown, and five escalating waves of armed attackers assault the base. Fight alongside NPC defenders. Survive all five waves to claim elite loot crates. Auto-populates across the map on a configurable schedule, supports multiple simultaneous events, and scales from solo to full squad through four built-in difficulty presets.

Wave System
⚔️ 5 Escalating Waves Configurable attacker count, health, damage, and raider/smoke/flash percentages per wave. Gear progresses burlap to metal plate.
🎯 4 Difficulty Presets Easy for solo/duo, Medium for small squads, Hard for squads, GG for full squad tier. Fully customisable in the config.
🔄 Multi-Event Support Run multiple concurrent events across the map with smart spacing logic. Each event tracks independently.
⏱️ Live Countdown Between-wave countdown ticks in chat and CUI at 30s, 20s, 10s, 5-1 so players know exactly what's coming.
NPC Behaviour
🧠 Immediate Aggro Injection NPCs engage within 1-2 seconds of spawn via brain memory injection. No standing around waiting.
🏃 Sprint Detection Monitors NPC velocity to detect frozen or bugged units. Rerolls stragglers within 6 seconds of spawn.
💣 Raiders with C4 Raider NPCs pathfind to base structure and place explosives via NpcSpawn's AddTargetRaid API.
💨 Tactical Smoke & Flash Later waves include smoke-grenade carriers for cover and flashbang carriers that blind defenders at range.
Stability
💾 Crash Recovery All pasted entity net IDs persisted to data file. Entities survive hard crashes and hot reloads, cleaned up on next load.
🛡️ Sanity Loop Catches NPCs killed by Invalid Position or engine-level kills that bypass the standard death hook.
🧹 Zero Orphans Full teardown on event end, abandon, or server reload. No orphaned structures cluttering your map.
🔒 ConfuserEx Protected NPC engine logic lives in a protected Carbon extension DLL. Plugin shell stays readable for config and integration.
Server Management
📍 Pre-Validated Spawn Pool Grid scanner validates locations at startup using flatness, approach, water, monument, and obstacle checks. Events spawn instantly.
⚙️ Auto-Populate Mode Configurable interval, max active events, min player count, and stagger schedule. Set it and forget it.
🗺️ Map Marker & HUD Per-event map marker plus in-zone HUD panel showing wave count, enemies remaining, and live countdown.
💬 Discord Webhook Rich embed notifications for event open, wave clear, victory, and defeat. Structured fields with server name and timestamp.
💰 Economics & ServerRewards Optional integration for per-wave and victory payouts in currency or RP. Fully configurable reward table.
🎁 Custom Loot Tables Override victory crate contents per preset or use your server's default loot. Full admin control.
